Trichuris peromysci n. sp. from Peromyscus californicus, and further notes on T. perognathi Chandler, 1945

, : Trichuris peromysci n. sp. from Peromyscus californicus, and further notes on T. perognathi Chandler, 1945. Journal of Parasitology Lancaster, 322: 208

Trichuris peromysci n.sp. from Peromyscus californicus in California differs from species already recorded from North American rodents by the very large eggs, the length of the anterior portion of the body, the absence of bilobing of the male tail and the almost terminal anus of the female. It is noted that in T. perognathi from Arizona the vulva is not situated on a cuticular evagination, which is regarded as an evanescent character.
