, : An analysis of six successive molts of an American goshawk. Amer Falconer 2(2): 9-12

In a Pennsylvania goshawk, no molt was ever complete. The 10th primary drops in late Mar. or early Apr., and the others drop in order out toward the first. The secondaries do not molt completely each yr. In the train (tail), 1, 2, and 6 drop each yr. but the others are irregular.
