Cerebral seizures as influenced by cerebellar stimulation

, : Cerebral seizures as influenced by cerebellar stimulation. Transactions of the American Neurological Association 13(79th Meeting): 87-89

The present study on alteration of electrically produced cerebral seizures by cerebellar stimulation supports the concept of widespread cerebellar projections to sensory and motor areas of the cerebrum and sensory relay nuclei of the thalamus plus diencephalic tegmentum. The method is described and the conclusion states that cerebellar stimulation, when weak, may modify frequency of a seizure at a cerebral level, but when made stronger may stop the seizure.
