A number of proteins remain at the starting line, and thus can be separated from di- and tripeptides, during paper chromatography in solvent systems: pyridine[long dash]acetone[long dash]propanol[long dash]ammonia[long dash]0. 5% Trilon B (60: 10: 18: 9: 3)- pyridine[long dash]ammonia[long dash]acetone (70: 30: 20) for 2 days, and for one day in pyridine[long dash]ammonia[long dash]acetone (70: 40: 20). In the same solvent systems, polysaccharides studied also remain at the starting line and can be separated from dextrins and simple sugars. A solvent system is recommended which enables good separation of lactic acid from a number of other organic acids.
