, : Composition of fat from a North American black bear. Oil And Soap 20(8): 159-161

Fat from the subcutaneous adipose tissues of a $ black bear (Ursus americanus), from Ontario, contained 71.7% oleic and 17.4% linoleic acid glycerides. Tabulated data show the physical and chemical properties of bear fat as published by other investigators. Bibliography, 11 references, 1904 to 1942.
