Effect of antibiotics on incorporation of 14C-glutamic acid into cell walls of Bacillus megaterium

, : Effect of antibiotics on incorporation of 14C-glutamic acid into cell walls of Bacillus megaterium. Acta Microbiologica Polonica 14(3): 287-291

The effect of penicillin, chloramphenicol, bacitracin, novobiocin and neomycin on the incorporation of C14-glutamic acid into the cell walls of Bacillus megaterium was examined. Penicillin was the only antibiotic to inhibit the incorporation.
