, : Einfurung in die Zoologische Nomen-klatur durch Erlauterung der Internationalen Regeln. Abhandl Senckenberg Naturforsch Ges : 1-154

The rules and principles of taxonomy, the suspension of rules, the nomina conservanda, the nomenclatura aperta, homonymy and synonymy and related topics are discussed. There are recognized as valid and sufficient for all practical purposes only 3 kinds of types: holotype, lectotype, and neotype; 2 kinds of typoids: paratypoid and hypotypoid; and 2 kinds of hyles (unpublished material): typohyle and autohyle. Further technical chapters deal with the prep. of manuscripts, the citation of literature, the abbreviation of the titles of scientific journals, etc. The main part of the book is devoted to the 36 articles of the Internat. Rules of Nomenclature with detailed explanations and many significant examples.
