Electrolytic cells in chlorination for the destruction of algae

, : Electrolytic cells in chlorination for the destruction of algae. Jour Amer Water Works Assoc 21(10): 1388-1394

The experiments did not indicate that electrolytic Cl was of greater bactericidal value than liquid Cl. Although its use has been successful in preventing algal tastes and odors, the cost of producing electrolytic cell Cl at the plant in question compares very unfavorably with the cost of using liquid Cl.
