Seven hundred of the more common and conspicuous Florida plants are described in such simple terms as to be recognizable to those without a glossary or special knowledge of botany. Keys are based on flower color, character of plant, position of leaves and flower characteristics. The plants are arranged in the systematic order of J. K. Small's "The Flora of the Southeastern United States," with which, for more technical study, the present volume is designed to be used.
