, : Further studies on Diolodia cajani Ravchandhuri. Jour Indian Bot Soc 26(4): 221-225

Five isolates of D. caiani, causal agent of canker in pigeon peas (Caianus caian). were studied in oatmeal agar at different pH levels and in liquid media containing cellulose, glucose, cane sugar, starch, or lactose. Three of the isolates made max. growth at pH 7 and 2 at pH 6.5. In liquid media the 5 strains differed in rate of growth, sporulation, general appearance, and production of reducing sugar, acetone, acid, and a precipitate in the filtrate.
