Isolation and identification of flavonoid compounds from the leaves of Euonymus europaea

, : Isolation and identification of flavonoid compounds from the leaves of Euonymus europaea. Diss Pharm Pharmacol 19(1): 91-97

From the leaves of Euonymus europaea, 5 flavonoid heterosides were obtained by cellulose column chromatography. A compound with m. p. 244-246[degree], [lambda] max376, 257 m[mu], was identified as the 7-glucoside of quercetin (quercymerithrin); a compound with m. p. 187-189[degree], [lambda] max361, 258 m[mu], as 3-rutinoside of quercetin (rutoside); and a compound with m. p. 193-196[degree], [lambda] max357,256 m[mu] as 3-rhamnoside-7-glucoside of quercetin. Heterosides with m. p. 204-208[degree] and 198-203[degree] were not characterized.
