LDH activity in patients with ovarian tumors

, : LDH activity in patients with ovarian tumors. Obstetrics and Gynecology 31(2): 243-246

In 10 out of 12 patients with malignant ovarian tumors the activity of the lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) fractions LDH3 and LDH4 was relatively increased. Total LDH activity was elevated only in 3. In patients with nonmallgnant ovarian tumors the electrophoretlc isoenzyme patterns were as in patients without tumors. In only 2 of 22 patients were the contributions of fractions LDH3 and LDH4 in the upper range of values.
