Long-term cultivation of marine brown and red algae

, : Long-term cultivation of marine brown and red algae. Naturwissenschaften 51(7): 170

Red and brown algae belonging to nearly 20 genera have been successfully cultured, the key points for such success being: separation of species; employment of suitable culture media; and maintenance of temperature between 18-22[degree]C. Rates of growth can be controlled by changes in light intensity.
