Microclrculatory alterations in biliary obstruction

, : Microclrculatory alterations in biliary obstruction. Acta Pathol Et Microbiol Scand 54(2): 181-189

Changes in the microcirculatory and histological pattern of the liver in rabbits and rats followed ligation of the common duct. An aggregation and stagnation of cells, starting in the central veins and in the sinusoids, occurred, followed by a generalized aggregation and stagnation of the blood cells. Possible explanations for the flow changes and results of the stagnation are given.
