Mucoma Of The Postoperative Stomach

, : Mucoma Of The Postoperative Stomach. Bulletin of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy 9: 7-8

Clinically important gastric mucomas are rare. Gastroscopy in a 19-yr.-old girl with a limited distal resection done 13 yrs. previously showed a ball of mucus blocking the stoma. A mucoma measuring 4x4x3cm was vomited during passage of a Levin tube; the patient has since remained well. Papain was given to 3 other patients with small mucomas, which then disappeared.
