Neuroblastoma and related tumors

, : Neuroblastoma and related tumors. A.M.A. Archives of Pathology 63(5): 451-459

Tumors of the sympathetic nervous system are divided into 4 groups congenital neuroblastoma, neuroblastic sarcoma, ganglioneuroblastoma and ganglioneuroma. Congenital neuroblastoma and neuroblastic sarcoma are indistinguishable anatomically but are separated on the basis of differences in their biologic behavior. Congenital neuroblastoma probably always occurs within the first 6 years of life and is fatal in about 70% of cases. Neuroblastic sarcoma occurs with random frequency throughout life and is invariably fatal. The ganglioneuroma is a benign tumor of mature tissue and occurs mainly in adults. The ganglioneuroblastoma is a tumor which combines features of both normal ganglionic tissue and neuroblastoma.

Re-evaluation of factors affecting regiochemistry of the palladium-catalyzed hydrostannation of alkynes. Polarization of the triple bond in a series of differently substituted ortho- and para-tolanes has been studied by NMR and computational methods in order to examine if (13)C NMR data can be effectively used for the assessment of electronic polariz...
