, : On the nematode fauna of the Coleoptera, Passalidae of the Biological Station of Boraceia. Arq Zool [sao Paulo] 11(2): 23-57

This Biol. Station is in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil, in a protected forest environment. The Passalidae studied were collected in the month of April, 1957. A list is given of 44 spp. of nematodes in 15 genera, which were found. This is followed by systematic treatment, with synonymy and distribution notes on the known spp., and descriptions in Lepidonematidae of SALESIA with type S. alata, from Veturius cephalotes; and in n. fam. HYSTRIGNATHIDAE (based on Hystrignathus): Hystrignathus tarda (Lepidonema t. Artigas), H. pearsoni from Passalus anguliferus, H. rugosus from P. mancus, H. rescens from P. alias, Xyo pseudohistrix from Popilius disjunctus, X. sebastianensis from Passalus quadricollis, URBANONEMA with type U. helgae from Veturias cephalotes, Artigasia insignia [sic] from Passalus anguliferus, A. silyestris from V. cephalotes, PARAXYO with type P. monodelpho from V. cephalotes, VULCANONEMA with type V. martinezi (Artigasia m. Travassos and Kloss) and including V. ovicarenata (A. o. Travassos and Kloss), GLABER with type G. cornata (Artigasia c. Travassos and Kloss) and including G.? inermis (Hystrignathus i. Artigas) and G.? politus (H. p. Artigas), n. subfam. CHRISTIELLINAE (based on Christiella) including SOARESNEMA with type S. soaresia from Passalus mancus, BORACEIANEMA with type B. boraceia from P. mancus, MENTECLE with type M. paulista from P. anguliferus, M. parvus from P. morio, LONGIOR with type L. longicollis (Hystrignathus l. Artigas) and including L. macrovata (Artigasia m. Travassos and Kloss) and L. pulchra from P. mancus.
