Pharmacology of hydroxymethoxyphenyl phenyl triazol

, : Pharmacology of hydroxymethoxyphenyl phenyl triazol. Boll Soc Eustachiana Organo Ist Sci Univ Camerino 29(3): 175-184

Pharmacologic study on hydroxymethoxyphenyl phenyl triazol. This compound has the formula [image] In frogs it causes an increased irritability of the muscles with prolongation of the contractions and localized and generalized tremors which may amount to violent convulsions. With lethal doses there is an immediate passage from the contraction phase into post mortem rigidity. In guinea pigs and rabbits it causes a lowering of the body temperature from 0.3 to 3.3[degree], depending upon the dose. This is seen both in normal and febrile animals but is much less evident when the drug is given by mouth. The antipyretic dose is about 0.3 to 0.4 gm. per kgm.
