Powdery scab of potato

, : Powdery scab of potato. Zastita Bilja 14(73): 296-299

In the mountainous regions of Serbia S. subterranea did not represent a problem in the production of seed potatoes of domestic varieties (Pink Zlatar and White Zlatar). However, seed-potato production recently was extended to include Bintje, Frimeli, and Urgenta, imported chiefly from Holland. In the 1st year and in several localities, these already showed severe infection. Comparative studies on the resistance of imported and domestic potato varieties were made in 1959 in the region of Prijepolje. Bintje proved to be the most susceptible, followed by Urgenta and Voran. The domestic Pink Zlatar showed slight infection, and White Zlatar none.
