Discompensated cirrhotic patients present electrophoretic proteinogram in which there is a clear fall of albumin and 7 globulin shows a marked increase; with a fusion of the [BETA] and [gamma] fractions. Generally when a cirrhotic patient compensates, the proteinogram shows clear improvement, with sometimes frank rise of albumin and fall of globulin [gamma] and a tendency to the separation of [BETA] and [gamma] .
