Serial transmission of clinically latent experimental syphilis in the mouse

, : Serial transmission of clinically latent experimental syphilis in the mouse. Rec Trav Inst Nation Hyg [paris] 3(2): 643-656

Mouse-adapted strains of Treponema pallidum of human origin could be kept alive for long periods, perhaps indefinitely by this procedure: Mice suffering from clinically latent exptl. syphilis were sacrificed 194-354 days after the inoculation and fresh mice inoculated from their organs.
