Some conditions of foetal respiration in the cow

, : Some conditions of foetal respiration in the cow. Journal of Physiology 92(3): 249-267

The following conditions of foetal respiration were studied in the cow (a) The O capacity of foetal and maternal blood during the last mos. of pregnancy; (b) the 0 and the CO2 content of the foetal and maternal blood; (c) the 0 and the CO2 dissociation curves of foetal and maternal blood; (d) the tension of blood gases in mother and foetus. The foetus to be studied was taken by caesarian section with local anaesthesia, and no narcotic.
