Studies on Cannabis, marihuana or hemp

, : Studies on Cannabis, marihuana or hemp. Rev Inst Adolfo Lutz 21(1): 83-98

The Cannabis problem was considered in this paper and the potential danger of the drug to individuals and to society was emphasized. Brazilian hemp is biologically active and the intensity of its action in animals and human being depends, as usual, on different factors as the source, ageing process and dryness condition of the sample at hand. Despite the argument that Brazilian marihuana is less active than the Oriental one, a statement still awaiting comparative bioassays, coercitive measures must be reinforced in order to prevent expansion of this drug addiction.
