At the end of 1961 the Second International Symposium dedicated to the problem of humus and crops was held in Prague, Czechoslovakia under the auspices of the Academy of Sciences of Czechoslovakia and the Czecho-slovakian Botanical Society. The various papers presented are briefly summarized.
