The O2-back-flow and its correction by polarographic respiration measure-ments

, : The O2-back-flow and its correction by polarographic respiration measure-ments. Acta Biol Et Med Germanica 9(5): 437-444

Polarographic measurements of respira-tion with the vibrating Pt-electrode in the open vessel are considerably distorted by the O2-back-flow from the atmosphere. This is, however, to be determined and corrected by a respective calculation for each measuring section. Thus the method can always be handled quickly and easily. During the whole experimental period the respiratory control-quotients and the PO-quotients correspond to the data ascertained by other procedures.
