The distribution of S35-chlorpromazine in mice studied by whole body autoradiography

, : The distribution of S35-chlorpromazine in mice studied by whole body autoradiography. Arch Int Pharmacodyn Therap 156(1): 34-47

The radioactivity initially accumulated in the brain, lung, liver, kidney and adrenal cortex. The main radioactivity in the brain was concentrated in the cerebral cortex, hippocampus and thalamic nuclei. Later on, the radioactivity concentrated in such tissues as the lymph nodes, spleen and thymus. Experiments with pregnant mice revealed that S35-chlorpromazine passed the placental barrier and concentrated in the fetal lung, liver, intestines and urinary bladder.
