The incidence of opalinid infusorians in two species of tadpoles

, : The incidence of opalinid infusorians in two species of tadpoles. Jour Parasitol 41(6): 640

Smears of the gut of larval Bufo americanus and Rana clamitans showed 76% of the former harboring Opalina obtrigonoidea while 28% of the latter had (X ranarum. Smaller forms, O. larvarum, occurring in both host spp., may represent a developmental stage in either sp. Mea-surements are given.
