The lateral geniculate body of Tarsius spectrum

, : The lateral geniculate body of Tarsius spectrum. Jour Anat Soc India 3(2): 75-77

Serial sections of brain cut f rontally and stained with toluidine blue were used. Two thin peripheral layers belonging to the large-celled elements are well differentiated. The inner small-celled mass lies within the concavity of the two peripheral large-celled laminae which tend to encapsulate it. This feature is regarded as an extremely primitive character, more so than that of a primitive lemur.
