, : The nucleoprotein content of the tissues of the internal organs and the nervous system of animals with arsenic, lead, or aniline intoxication The toxicology of new industrial chemicals. The nucleoprotein content of the tissues of the internal organs and the nervous system of animals with arsenic, lead, or aniline intoxication The toxicology of new industrial chemicals [6] Soderzhanie nukleoproteidov v tkanyakh vnutrennikh organov i nervnoi sistemy zhivotnykh pri intoksikatsii mys'yakom, svlntsom i anilinom In: Toksikologiya novykh promyshlennykh khimicheskikh veshchestv The toxicology of new industrial chemicals [6] 128-144

Histochemically, using Bram's or Feulgen's methods, determinations were made of the nucleoprotein concentration in the tissues of the internal organs and nervous system of rats with Pb, As, or aniline intoxication. Pb given to rats subcutaneously, or orally at 0.01-0.04 mg/kg in repeated doses caused intoxication; As was given subcutaneously in the form of sodium arsenate every other day at 0.0025-0.024 mg/kg; and aniline was given subcut. in oil solution at 0.05-0.6 mg/kg. The experiment lasted 180 days. The amount of ribonucleoprotein in the protoplasm of the tissues with intoxication decreased, even when only small doses of the substances had been given. As the intoxication continued to develop, the ribonucleoprotein content continued to fall. The decrease in ribonucleoprotein was more marked in the cells of nervous tissues, the epithelium of the salivary glands, and the pancreas and several other organs ordinary rich in ribonucleoprotein. The change in the concentration of ribonucleoprotein was proportional to the severity of the intoxication. The ribonucleoprotein content of the nuclei was more resistant and changed only with severe intoxication.
