The author reviewed the role of nitrofurans with emphasis on hexa-mitiasis, histomoniasis, coccidiosis and as well, the control of Erysipelo-thrix rhusiopathiae, Pasteurella multocida, Escherichia coli, Salmonella pullorum, S. gallinarum, S. typhimurium and pleura-pneumonia-like organisms; the latter especially in chronic respiratory disease and infectious sinusitis. Fifty five references were appended.
