The treatment of vascular headaches of the migraine type


, : The treatment of vascular headaches of the migraine type. S African Med Jour 37(6): 168-170

Thirty-one patients with vascular headaches were treated with ergotamine caffeine preparations and by an antiserotonin substance, Deseril. In the majority of cases, with the exception of the lower-half type of headache, ergotamine caffeine was satisfactory in treating the headache. Deseril given prophylactically was of use in the majority of all types of headache.
