Tristeza of citrus in the light of the possibility of its transmission by insect vectors

, : Tristeza of citrus in the light of the possibility of its transmission by insect vectors. Tec Agr 17(4): 306-310

The world-wide damage to citrus is cited. Various insect vectors have been identified, the most important being Toxoptera citricidus. Ecological factors in virus transmission and progression of the disease are related to the countries where found. The possible source of the Sicilian vector is discussed, and control measures are suggested.
