Uber den Einfluss von Pervitin auf einige psychische und psychomotorische Funktionen

, : Uber den Einfluss von Pervitin auf einige psychische und psychomotorische Funktionen. Arbeitsphysiol 10(6): 692-705

The psychic and motor functions of 4 men were studied during mental arithmetic, stringing of pearls, and riding a bicycle ergometer, with and without doses of pervitin (l-phenyl-2-methylaminopropane) (9 to 15 mg.). The feeling of fatigue and inhibitions were eliminated by pervitin, but there was no pronounced feeling of well being. There was increased activity and decreased ability to concentrate when pervitin was given, but also there was a lessening in the too high tension of attentiveness which, in finer work, leads to disturbance in body movements. The influence of pervitin depended to large extent on the subject's initial condition when it was given. When caffeine was given with pervitin, the stimulating effect could be increased to an unpleasant degree.
