, : Vegetation of the Sakmara region in the region of the N Sabyrov. Zapad Baskhirsk Fil Geogr Obshchestva Sssr 3: 105-113

The author presents a brief description of the vegetation of the Sakmara River (tributary of the Ural River) in the middle of its course in the E margin ofthe mountainous forest-steppe zone. Characteristics are presented briefly of the aspen and birch forests, thickets of shrubs (chiefly Spiraea and wild almond), and various types of steppes (from meadow-mixed herbaceous to colorless feathergrass types). The vegetation of outcrops of rocks and rocky placer deposits are also described briefly. The author considers the problems of the economic utilization of these places.
