Zur Frage der nervosen Regulation der Hirndurchblutung Question of nervous regulation of cerebral circulation

, : Zur Frage der nervosen Regulation der Hirndurchblutung Question of nervous regulation of cerebral circulation. Acta Neurochir 18(1/2): 95-111

In a neuro-surgical series of cases the influence of nervous factors on the regulation of cerebral blood flow was investigated using the "heat-clearance" method. The findings of animal experiments after stimulation of the sympathetic trunk could not be confirmed in man. The influence of the trigeminal nerve on cerebral blood flow was recognizable in reproducible experiments. Individual findings suggested that under pathophysiological circumstances powerful effects on the cerebral blood flow could also be mediated via the vagus.
