A histological study of the structure of Cocculus, official in the N.F. VII, as the dried, ripe fruit of Anamirta cocculus, is described with the aid of 8 figures. The figures represent the whole fruit, cross section of the fruit, epicarp, hydathodes, pericarp, cross section of the seed, position of the embryo, and characteristic elements in the powdered drug. Of particular interest is the report of the presence of hydathodes in the fruits, noted only on the leaves before.
