A method of quick change of bee visitation from one plant to another

, : A method of quick change of bee visitation from one plant to another. Pchelovodstvo 31(2): 45-48

In order to hasten the transition of bee visitation from one crop, flowering of which is ending, to another one which is beginning to bloom it is advised to feed the colonies with 50% solution CaCl2 in which the flowers of the previous crop were soaked, and then to give them a tea made of the flowers of the new crop soaked in 50% solution. CaCl2 solution (a repellent) is fed to destroy the association of honey flow with the former crop, and the feeding of a new extract is to train the bees to a new crop.
