A rapid method for locating intracerebral electrode tracks

, : A rapid method for locating intracerebral electrode tracks. Stain Technology 34(1): 39-42

This method consists of: (1) cutting formalin-fixed frozen sections 160 u thick of the brain of experimental animals, (2) mounting the unstained sections in glyerol under a cover slip, and (3) photographing their en-larged images on Kodak Direct Positive paper. The results resemble photographs of myelin sheath preparations. Direct positive photography eliminates the time needed for tediously tracing projected images, usually done on stained section. With this method it is possible to obtain a histological analysis of a neurophysiological experiment on the following day.

Women at high-risk for HIV acquisition often face challenges that hinder their retention in HIV prevention trials. These same challenges may contribute to missed clinical care visits among HIV-infected women. This article, informed by the Gelberg-...

The divergent behaviour of 3-alkynylindole-2-carboxamides, under palladium catalysed conditions and phase-transfer catalytic conditions, is described. Thus, palladium catalysed intramolecular C-N and C-C bond formation in a single step by C-H acti...
