A new simplified method for study of chromosomes in blood cells from bone marrow is described. It consisted, essentially, in arresting the mitosis in metaphase by the use of colchicine after which cells were swollen by submitting them to a hypotonic solution. The preparation was dried using warm slides. To stain it the Feulgen technique, partly modified, was used.
