Adjuvants for pyrethrins in fly spray

, : Adjuvants for pyrethrins in fly spray. Bull Commonwealth Sci And Indust Res Organ [Australia] 261: 63

Of 32 materials from Australian plants, including essential oils and some of their constituent compounds, the following behaved as adjuvants in pyrethrum sprays: essential oils steam-distilled from leaves of Backhousia myrtifolia, Doryphora sassafras, Melaleuca bracteata, Zieria smithii; essential oils steam-distilled from wood of Dacrydium franklinii and Eremophila mitchelli; elemicin, methyl eugenol, evodionol. Discussions of chemical structure related to adjuvant activity and the mode of action of adjuvants are included.
