Copulation, fighting behavior and life cycle of Neopamera bilobata

, : Copulation, fighting behavior and life cycle of Neopamera bilobata. Revista de Biologia Tropical 46(3): 837-840, Sept

During copulation the male of Neopamera bilobata was observed making vertical jerking movements several times with his whole body while the female tapped his abdomen and genital capsule with her hind legs. Two male were seen fighting with their thickened femurs with ventral spines. The female deposited 2,2 eggs per day, and nymphs took 10-12 days to enclose. Laboratory raised male and female lived for 52 and 45 days, respectively.
