Epidemiological and clinico-therapeutic study of babesiosis in cattle


, : Epidemiological and clinico-therapeutic study of babesiosis in cattle. Indian Journal Of Veterinary Research: 2, 22-24

Clinico-therapeutic studies were made on 67 clinical cases of babesiosis in cattle of Palam Valley in Himachal Pradesh. The incidence of the disease was 1.02% and it was highest in rainy season (59.68%) in animals of 4-6 years of age. Clinically, the affected animals showed anorexia, suspended rumination, dullness, weakness, diarrhoea, coffee coloured urine, pyrexia, tachycardia and polypnoea.
