Diese Arbeit ist eine Entgegnung auf Michael Ermanns Beitrag Verdeckte Spuren deutscher Geschichte. Kriegskinder und ihre Kinder ein ungewolltes Erbe , erschienen im Dezemberheft 21 desForum der Psychoanalyse. Die dort vermittelte Kriegskindheitsforschung tr gt so die These des vorliegenden Aufsatzes mehr zu weiterem Verdecken als zum Aufdecken deutscher Vergangenheit bei, denn sie stellt die Besonderheiten der psychischen Entwicklung von Menschen, die zur Zeit des Nationalsozialismus und des Zweiten Weltkriegs geboren wurden, einseitig als Folgen von Kriegserfahrungen dar, w hrend die Folgen des Nationalsozialismus vernachl ssigt werden. Anhand von Textzitaten wird die Vermutung ge u ert, dass der verdeckende, verschleiernde Umgang mit dem Nationalsozialismus und seinen psychischen Folgen auf Abwehrvorg nge zur ckzuf hren ist, die auch bei Psychoanalytikern von Generation zu Generation weitervermittelt wurden und den Blickwinkel einengten. Es wird die Hoffnung ge u ert, dass die psychoanalytische Forschung diese Hemmschwelle berwindet und in Zukunft vermehrt die in der nationalsozialistischen deutschen Vergangenheit liegenden Ursachen psychischen Leidens erhellt.
