Rice imports into Nigeria have increased in recent months despite a hike in import tariffs and efforts of the administration to boost use of locally produced rice.Data from the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) shows that rice imports into Nigeria have increased steadily from 237, tons in January to 241, tons.
