Some aspects of the fine structure of the Ciliate Prorodon viridis Ehrbg Kahl

, : Some aspects of the fine structure of the Ciliate Prorodon viridis Ehrbg Kahl. Acta Protozoologica, 2(10-18): 147-151

Observations of Prorodon viridis with electron microscope demonstrate existence of canals running, regularly along each kinety and bordered by fibrils on a part of their outside, presence of toxicysts, complexity of "nemadesmes" architecture in the building of "basket". Toxicysts have the same structure as in Didinium, with outer capsule, intruded cylindrical tube, and central core in the tubular element. "Nemadesmes" are associated in pairs, elements of which are joined at their anterior part, and toped by particular pieces where are tending fibrils connected with kinetosomes.
