Motor development in deaf children

, : Motor development in deaf children. Praxis der Kinderpsychologie und Kinderpsychiatrie 41(1): 2-9

The author tries to trace empirically the multifaced variables influencing the motorial development. Inside a group of hearing impaired children (N = 183) two subgroups of extreme cases are formed, basing on results of Körper-Koordinationstest für Kinder. Motorically very strong children and motorically very weak children (N = 86) are compared on a variety of variables in the organic, demographic, communicative and psycho-dynamic areas. Indications are that children from the two groups differe in respect of their neurological status and pedagogically allowed independence.
