A new model for objective measurement and quantification of the effects of topical anti-inflammatory agents

, : A new model for objective measurement and quantification of the effects of topical anti-inflammatory agents. Arzneimittel-Forschung 33(6): 900-901

A new model is presented with aid of which the antiinflammatory effect of topically administered substances can be measured. The basic measuring device is a reflex densitometer with mobile measuring head that can determine the redness of the tesa-film stripped skin directly without photographical intermediaries. The relevance of the model is demonstrated by the healing curve exhibited by the stripped skin which has been treated with a fluprednylidene acetate containing cream.
