The Forum for Collaborative HIV Research (FCHR) sponsored a meeting to discuss HIV-related body fat changes and metabolic abnormalities. The goals of the meeting were to determine a working definition of the disorder and discuss the design of cross-sectional prevalence studies. Participants assembled a list of associated disorders that will be used to design this research. Research protocols under development and studies that are presently enrolling or underway are discussed. Contact information for enrollment in several studies is provided.
