Keep it in the family

, : Keep it in the family. Nursing Standard 1987) 17(17): 6-6

NlmCategory="UNASSIGNED">When Hayley Wade decided to become a nurse her mother was so thrilled that she chose to realise her own ambition and enrol on the same diploma programme. For most of her life Ann Wade had worked as a personal assistant at a packaging firm, but she longed to be a nurse. She enrolled on the University of the West of England's three-year course on the same day as her daughter. The pair, pictured on their graduation day in November, have stopped short of working together. Hayley is a paediatric nurse at the Royal United Hospital in Bath and Ann is a community nurse based at Frome Medical Practice 15 miles away.
